The latter are recognized as "valid" though "illicit." Of course, academic terminology is pretty much meaningless to the many people being served by Roman Catholic Womenpriests throughout the U.S. and Europe. What is meaningful, however, is the fact that these women are here and <a href="http://theprogressivecatholicvoice.blogspot.com/2012/07/minnesotas-seven-catholic-womenpriests.html" rel="nofollow">here to stay</a>, and, of course, what's also incredibly meaningful and important to people are the ways that these women are embodying Christ through their words and actions. <br /><br />Personally, I think the priesthood as it is today should be <a href="http://theprogressivecatholicvoice.blogspot.com/2013/02/why-priests.html" rel="nofollow">abolished</a>. A clerical caste system is the antithesis of what Jesus was all about.
