Sister Simone Campbell at the Democratic National Convention

  1. Thanks Sr. Simone Campbell for promoting a vision of the Catholic faith that prizes its social justice tradition as one of its greatest treasures. Care for the least among us should exemplify who we are as a church, while simultaneously highlighting our collective conscience as a nation to the world. What's the point of being "pro-life" if you forget about that life after its left the womb?! Forget about any other categories, NUNS do it better!

  2. The more our government taxes, the less people are willing to give to charity. I am a strong believer that everyone should tithe 10% of their income. with less income, there's less charity. We must not focus on forcing money out of the wealthy, but make them feel obligated to give to welfare programs and organizations. The better they feel about giving, the more they give. Who likes doing something when it's absolutely forced upon them? Spreading the "volunteerism" vibe would reduce the dead weight Loss caused by taxes.

  3. Charity is one thing but, to not be able to wholly condemn abortion as a woman religious is another. "Sister" Simone simply played lip service to the culture of death.

  4. Sister Somone...stands against God, Israel and the sanctity of life, look where she was..as far as charity compare Romney's charity to President Obama and throw in Biden's. face the fact that it is business that keeps the soup kitchens going...or the fact the greatest givers bar none, corporations...the greatest givers to charity are conservatives....Sister Simone should be in a Burka...it would do her good...Mother Teresa would never have been dolted into this arena
